Craig and Sarah both grew up in the Bainbridge/Auburn area. Craig graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. And Sarah received a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. In 2007 they both moved back to Bainbridge and were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. They married 6 years later and have two daughters, Lachlyn & Shea.

They decided it was time to start working on Craig’s dream late 2019. 2020 kept things interesting! But with the help of friends and family, they persisted and couldn’t be more ecstatic to be opening a restaurant in the community where they grew up, currently live and love!
Using local ingredients whenever possible, The Sleepy Rooster menu has something for everyone. The Fitzgerald’s can’t wait to welcome you in to enjoy food that’s worth waking up for!!
